"I first met Faye Gorman whilst on an expedition in Namibia, Africa  in 1997. We became good friends and Faye invited me to visit her in her homeland of New Zealand, the place she clearly loved.

 Eighteen months later I was in New Zealand. I had the most wonderful time. I was made welcome from the moment I stepped from the plane. Faye had arranged for us to stay in a beautiful Edwardian house overlooking the sea, so that I could wake up fresh with a wonderful view of New Zealand.
